The one thing I never expected...

I expected a blast in August, but it backfired, now I'm no longer part of your family. Its all good, eventhough I'm left hanging without an explanation. Its been a hell of a good year last year, so thank you for all the memories.

But nothing can stop me from having a better one this year. On Second Thought comes out June 2007.

The one with the rooftop dining...

"This ain't a scene, it's a god damn arms race"

I'm so digging the new Fall Out Boy single. I keep singing the chorus to Rauzan, and he gets excited every time I make faces. Haha! My sister influenced me to this song btw, can you believe it?

I went out with Ali and Rau to Roze's birthday rooftop dinner. By the time I reached there, it was already midnight, and most of them have left the place, only Su, Zul and her parents were around. Felt bad though cause they were like waiting for us, and they even had food prepared. Luckily, Roze's parents are very very (and I seriously mean very) nice people. They understand my silly jokes too, so its all good. And the view of Boat Quay from the place is very nice too. Very romantic. Took some pictures, but Su accidently took the camera back. *Selfish!* Hehe!

Dont be sad that you dont have a lot of friends, in fact be thankful. I promise I'll be there for you whenever you need me. :)

The one with the bad customer service...

"No, not "baby" anymore
If I need you, I'll just use your simple name
Only kisses on the cheek from now on
And in a little while, we'll only have to wave"

My day started off with bad services from 3 different people. One was this NTUC Careerlink consultant who kept interrupting me while I was talking. You see, I just got a new job, and NTUC is giving me some money for staying with the job. Its not like I need it, but its money or in the Islamic term, we call it rezeki. So they asked me for my payslip, this and that, and guess what, they misplaced it lah. I came all they way from Pasir Ris to Marina Boulevard to do that, and they asked me to come over there again and pass it to them, with the typical Singapore slang, "Sorry lor, come again lor, or cannot process!". They agreed to help, but then treat us like beggars. So after a phone confrontation with the lady, we agreed to fax over the documents. Simple right. Pkm betul. And I hate being interrupted when talking...

Then it was Coffee Bean, the barista just placed my drink without calling out my name. Then why the hell you ask for my initial for? But the last straw was at Nokia Centre. I had to wait 35 minutes to collect my phone, which was really annoying and the customer service girl was really bad, and ugly. If you're ugly and nice, its ok. But now you're not. She threw the pen on the table, never even smile, spoke to her friends, held out her hands and asked for my IC, while still talking to her friend, then she asked me to sign some papers and then she pulled the paper below lah, destroying my signature. I straight away told her off saying that her customer service sucks and with a very blur face, she didnt even said sorry. She only made a funny sound, like "hoooeeeeerrrrr!". Seriously, she sounded like a horse.

Overworked

Anyway besides that, my day was alright. I went to help my poor Sab who had a lot of work to do at her office. Actually her job is very easy, and I dont understand why they need people with diploma to do it. Had McD for supper and then the two of us had a conversation about friends who are still looking for jobs, and not worried about the future. Then I started thinking about all the jobs I've ever done, and how I'm super grateful for this Ikea job now. Come to think about it, I've worked as, (in random order btw)...

- Baggage Assistance - almost 2 years (ahh the good old times)
- Coffee Bean Barista - 4 months
- SATs Special Service - 1 year plus (when I met Ali BFF, haha!)
- Cheers - 8 months (Lan and I grew close)
- Downtown East cleaner - 1 weeks (I drove the garbage cart btw, gerek!)
- Data Entry @ Changi Cargo - 3 weeks
- Siam Kitchen crew - 8 hours
- Burger King - 3 days
- Airport Cleaner - 2 days (I met a friend, and she gave me the look. Yes the ewww look! haha!)
- Watch Salesman - 2 weeks (my mentor was hot btw)
- CIAS Customer Service - 3 months (had to pay $1,2k fine for breaking contract)
- Spinelli Barista - 2 months (fought with Su. Haha!)
- Inroom Dining @ Fullerton - 2 month
- Fir Iqbal Seafood - 1 year plus (the job that taught me a lot of things)
- The Cathay aka Kachang Puteh Man - 3 months (worst pay)
NOW! - Ikea Restaurant, Asst Supervisor - 5 months

I know I have more, haha, but these are the ones I can remember vividly. I always have interesting stories behind every job. Haha! Job hopping is bad, but I feel like it somehow taught me a few lessons here and there. My honest advice is stick to one, and have savings. I wish I started early.

Anyway, my show yesterday was aight. Not what I expected it to be, but I had fun.

Its funny how people can make a stranger to family, and family to a stranger in an instant.

The one busuk...

"I love you, you love me
We're a happy family
With a great big hug
And a kiss from me to you *muacks*
Wont you say you love me too?"
;)

The times me and Ali look good... ehem!

K, busuk...

Double busuk...

Busuk giler baby...

The comic brigade... wtf is Krazie Starr doing?? Hahaha!

I have one thing I didnt do well and I know I could have done it better. Now its still haunting me. Had a friendly chat with an old friend about music, but then I get tensed up because he said my EP was good. I dont know why, but I got a little upset over it. Instead of saying thank you, I said that what I did was super wack, because I feel that way up till today. Resurgence gave it a fine review, maybe because they know me. Many people thought the EP was fine, and they love some of the tracks. I dont know why I hate it. But then my friend gave me a piece of advice. He said, the world is divided into people who do things and people who get the credits. Always belong to the first one. Thank you for the advice. :)

Work has been a little chill-out these days. Mak Ica & Kak Yat came over the other day with Mira and Luqman. Cantik dorang. Now Ikea is not so busy, so its like the best time to shop, with peace. On the other hand, March sales is coming and there are going to be great dicounts. So who wants to go shopping with me? I want to buy a sofa bed. *winks* Totally need one.

Last week, which felt like yesterday by the way, I went to watch Psyke, Krazie Starr and Zul Mystroe perform at the Nike AF1 Showcase. The show was alright, but the display of the AF1 shoes are amazing. Then they had some story about each and every shoe, and thats completely fascinating to me. Haha! I'll be performing there on the 17th. More updates soon. Niwae the same night I went to watch The Illusionist with Rau, Zul and Roze. The movie was alright, I think The Prestige was way better. I would give the movie 3.5 stars. Btw, Jessica Biel is hot! Tak boleh tasyan! I want to watch Apocalypto lah! Sigh~

I have a company dinner and a show @ Attica this Thursday. Hopefully more pictures.

I miss you...
