The one that leaked...

"last night's floetry was inspiringly amazing. your words have made an impact & will allow these kids to do something good in their lives for once. i pray you don't stop what you do because your passion and (fucking funny) sense of humour has kept a lot of us going even till today. thank you for being an inspiration to a lot of malay youths nowadays" -from your biggest fan of 4 years and counting, Ema.

Ema wrote this down on MSN and it gave me the motivation to do more shows next year. So, thank you Ema. *big hug*

Floetry was good. I'm not saying this because its my event, but the idea that I had for Floetry was there last night. Still there are things I wish I could stop the acts from doing or things that should be done. But its all good though. There were more audience too by the way. Highlight of the show was when I called up Ekhwan aka Pendekar.xs to freestyle and he just went wild. Everybody paid attention to him as if like he was giving a sermon. I did a song called 'Bass Man' which is in my album and I loved it. Sadly, Floetry will take a break in January, but for sure it will come back with a big bang.

Pictures from last week's event is up. Click on the picture below to view all. If you have a myspace account, its on my myspace too. :)

I did my new Malay track at my launch last week. Some people think its weird to hear me singing/rapping in Malay. A lot of people gave me positive comment about the song. Personally, i love the song. Haha! The song by the way is leaked on Imeem.com, but dont worry i'm not mad or anything. It feels good to know that people are eager to hear my stuff and share it with others. But please, if you like the song, support me and buy my album. Thats all i'm asking for. Niwae for those who have not heard the song, Aku Masih, click here. Enjoy! :)

Tomorrow I will be performing at Esplanade with Peepshow, 7.00pm and then I'll head down to Woodlands at 8.00pm and I'll be there till the party stops! Happy new year everyone! Fymps! Fymps! Fymps!!

The one with more shows...

I'm still trying to sort out and resize the 500+ pictures from Release The Fymps show last weekend. I wish I have some people to help me. But anyway while waiting for both the pictures and my CD, here are a few updates.

I'm having 3 upcoming shows, first one would be tomorrow which is Floetry. I'm not performing but its my show and I'm hosting. The show is held at The Lab, *scape Center which is directly behind Youth Park, Somerset. Timing would be 6.30pm - 8.30pm and this month it will feature Rauzan, Psykes, Chaz Ali, Sheerz and Fatalitee Phlow. Admission is only $4, so if you like to see some local hiphop acts and listen to some real local hiphop music, please do come and show some love.

On 31st December, I will be performing at the Esplanade with Peepshow @ 7pm. If you wanna hear my single Fymps 'live', then you better come. Its off the hook! Right after that, I'll be hosting the countdown event at Woodlands. Those who has no curfews, you know what to do.

'Fymps' is not in stores yet, and I dont know why some said they've got it already. Haha! Anyway, for those who pre-ordered and you happen to read this, dont worry k. YOU ARE ALL THE FIRST TO RECEIVE IT!!! Your 'Fymps' will arrive soon and you will receive a small surprise from me since New Year is coming. I'm truly sorry for the delay and I hope none of you will write Owe CD Pay CD on my windows. Till then, always remember 'Fymps! Fymps! Fymps!!'...

The one and only, Peepshow...

Had a jamming session with Peepshow last night. These guys are very talented and I personally think they are one of the bands you need to look out for next year, besides the one in Noise Singapore of course. They've even added a keyboardist to their band so now their music is super complete. I met them thanks to Patrick, but I cant remember how we hooked up and performed at Home Club. Haha! And this Sunday, at my Fymps album launch, will be our second time performing together. If you havent heard their music, go to www.myspace.com/peepshowband. Show some love for these guys by coming down to my show this Sunday. See you there! :)

The one with his Fymps album launch...

Popular rapper wants more than just being a name within the Hiphop scene. Freaky Z releases his first full length album weirdly titled 'Fymps' and asks his listeners to make up whatever they want with the letters F,Y,M,P,S. One idea is "Funny Young Musician Promoting Singapore" while others can simply get vulgar! Fazli Nasser, his real name, can't help it, coming from a family background that's far from typical.

Funny man, Freaky Z, channels his frustration of being expelled from school, jumping from job to job, even being diagnosed with cancer to humourous jingles; a whopping 21tracks in his album released on the 23rd December 2007 at the PlayDen, Arts House.

The album release party will feature his friends such as Peepshow, Xstatix, Rauzan, Public Eyez, Psykes, Sleeq and more, in skits unseen before at other Hiphop events, and of course, his tumour-to-humour antics, energetic nonsensical stand-up comedy-like stance.

Date: 23rd December 2007, Sunday
Time: 3pm sharp
Venue: Playden, The Arts House
Admission: $10 inclusive of 1 copy of FreakyZ's 'Fymps'!!!

To all my friends, fans and local music supporters, please do come to my album launch. Two hours of me, so you know, it wont get boring, trust me. Hehe! But most of all, I want you guys to get hold of my cd. If you havent heard the first single 'Fymps', its on my myspace. On top of that, its also on the Noise compilation CD that Noise Singapore is giving out for FREE at the NOISE showcase, Level 5, Heeren Shopping Mall. The showcase is until this Thursday 20/12/2007, so better hurry up and get it. My second single 'Do The Walk' is also in it too.

If you have any enquiries about the tickets or even anything, feel free to email me at fazlinasser@gmail.com.
