The one with a productive weekend...

I forgot how it felt like turning 18, but I do remember being all excited about it. Then I remembered turning 21 at Tioman, which was one of the coolest birthday I've ever had. Me, Lan and Ali even made a pact to watch an RA movie at Chinatown when we're all 21, but we just didnt have the time to. Haha!

Met Ali on Friday for a sheesha after so many weeks of not meeting each other. He's riding a Vespa now, and its so freaking cool. Anyway, we went PumpRoom after sheesha cos I told Ali about the amazing band that was playing there. We were stopped by the bouncer and he said only 25 and above can enter. Which was bullshit, cos I went in before. Luckily, i bumped into an old friend from school who's working there, and he told me about a secret passage to enter. Haha! That was freaking fun sneaking in, and the music was really really good.

We met Rau after that just to chill and do some research on wikipedia. Wikipedia is such an awesome website, even though some of the things could be misleading, especially religion cases, so beware. Niwae we read about Dubai, and found out that they are creating the largest theme park in the world. And its freaking huge. Its bigger than DisneyWorld lah. So how? Disneyworld still? ;)

The XS boy came over to record some tracks which will be in the XS compilation. I've had one of the most productive day. So thank you to those who helped. Rauzan turns 18 today, YEAY! Happy Birthday Rau! We'll go to Kumar night soon. Haha!

The one with Santa...

I watched The Polar Express for the first time today. I remembered when I was working at Video Ezy, a lot of people asked me when was the dvd coming out. At that time the movie was the only movie that did come out on dvd, because it was not a major success in the box office. Today it was on HBO and I totally love the movie. I mean Santa is not real, he's just a myth, but his legacy still lives. The movie is about this boy who dont believe in Santa, just like how modern day parents would want their child to believe. Then a train stopped right infront of his house, and brought him to the North Pole. Of course he experienced a lot of adventures, met some new friends and got into some trouble. But the best part was, he got to witness the process of Santa's gift giving flight.

I know I sound like a kid saying this, but the movie was magical. The animation was beautiful. In the last scene, the boy (his name was Hero Boy btw) received a present and when he opened it, there was a silver bell and a message from Santa. The boy and his sister, Sarah, could hear the bell ringing, but his parents could not. And as the movie ends, the narrator said...

At one time most of my friends could hear the bell, but as years passed, it fell silent for all of them. Even Sarah found one Christmas that she could no longer hear its sweet sound. Though I've grown old, the bell still rings for me, as it does for all who truly believe.

I loooove fantasy movies. Malay film should have more fantasy kinda stuff, like Big Fish or even Darkness Fall, since most of us are polluted with scary stories. If I was rich I would make the scariest malay horror movie ever. Kau tengok aje Jah!

Watched Wild Hogs today, and it was ok ok lah. Probably the movie is going to be a box office hit and money maker only. But there was Marisa Tomei, and she is oh so hot! Something about her face, just turns me on. Tak boleh tasyan!

Right? Right? Hehehe! :D

The one with Gandhi...

I slept like an Snorlax last night, so tired from the night before because the XS boys came over and I didnt sleep at all. All of us just hang out and chill while Bless was working on the flyer for upcoming event in June. Yeay! So one done, and more to go. I have a feeling the event is going to be great. Feeling aje... Insyallah!

The whole day at work on Sunday, I was trying to open up my eyes. By the time 11am came, I was looking for a place to sleep. Haha! So I kept my eyes open by reading wikipedia. I spend 2 hours reading about Mahatma Gandhi. Dont ask me why, but I just love history. You know in wikipedia they have links to every single that could be linked, and its freaking amazing. Now I know my origins better.

I got back my Spawn toys from my cousin. Woo hoo! So now its time to collect them back. If anyone reading this has Spawn collectibles to sell, please email me. Thanks! :)

The one freestyling...

Today me and the hiphopheads from both XS and BS went to watch a short film / documentary about hiphop freestyling. It was freaking awesome. It was inspiring and the message that it delivered was exactly what I think about music. Music has to be completely unpredictable. Its the artiste himself that defines his style. Most importantly, no matter how angry, sad or happy you are, keep it positive and write rhymes with you heart. You will be successful.

Throughout the whole movie I was thinking to myself, would a normal person understand the movie if they watched it? Would they understand what those african american were talking about? Would they understand hiphop? I do, and the movie changed my perception of music and the hiphop scene in Singapore. Thank you Imran and Anisah.

No matter where I am, I never forget about you. Love you!
